Fortunately, the options over a thousand dollars are much clearer if you’re looking for a no-compromise smartphone at any price. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is an excellent Android phone. If you’re on a tight budget, you can get a great smartphone for under $500 or even $400. Check out our budget smartphone buying guide for more suggestions.
A good smartphone will last you several years (at the very least), have a good camera, a nice screen, a long battery life, and be fast enough to fit all of your work, social networking, and gaming into one day. All of those things are, believe it or not, easier to find in a phone than they have ever been, so choosing the best one is often a matter of degrees or preferences.

1. APPLE IPHONE 12
Apple has released four different iPhone 12 models, the most it has ever done at once. Despite all of these options, the standard model is still a good choice. For most people, the regular iPhone 12, which starts at around $830 for a 64GB model, is the best smartphone.
The 12 shares the same overall design, processor, wireless charging, Face ID system, 5G support, front camera, and main and wide-angle rear cameras as the more expensive 12 Pro, but it costs hundreds of dollars less. Furthermore, it is available in five colors, which is one more than the Pro models.
The iPhone 12 has a noticeably larger display and a larger battery than the iPhone 12 mini, which are two features that many people value. It’s large enough to make watching video and reading text pleasurable and engaging, but not so large that it’s difficult to use in one hand or slip into a pocket. The phone’s battery life is also excellent; you can expect it to last all day without needing to charge it before bed.
